1260 No Oomph

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Sprocker, Sep 10, 2020.

  1. I also removed my flap 18 months ago (20,000 K's) and no issues, I tried a Duc EE first but got the occasional fault light

  2. I ground screws off and removed valve from day one on my 1260, didn’t bother with a duc ee or any other eliminator. Just let the valve spindle operate as normal without the valve installed and never had any issues at all with performance or warning light

  3. Sent you a PM about the DUC ee, just wanted to make sure you don't have a 1260 though?

  4. That is very weird. Removing just the flap cannot trigger a CE light as there's no way for the ECU to know that.
Perhaps the shaft does not rotate freely or too loose? The ECU would pick-up that resistance or lack thereof.

  5. Mine's stuck open, the gubbins on the outside turns, no warning lights ... I suppose I should investigate further as it'll probably stick closed if it decides to move again.

  6. just a small update on this..... it seemed to reset itself on the way to Wales & no engine light on since....how bizarre

  7. Italian Gremins!
