Why not just rock up at the front door of the factory and demand some answers? I know I would if I’d put a deposit down and had been waiting years for the bike and was getting the run around. They’d have to call the police to remove me and then I’d be making sure the press were covering the whole fracas.

I would love to adopt this approach and I would cheerfully take the long drive up there if I thought there was even the slightest chance of getting him to come out to the car park. Sadly, even if he was there (doubtful at the moment) I can't see him being persuaded to come "outside", even if you pretended to be holding a deposit that you wanted to put down, and he LOVES deposits.
