  2. The uphill battle to repair all of the damage done by Stuart Garner begins…

  3. Amazing what has been achieved in such a short period of time.
    All credit to them.
Hope it turns out a success.

  5. Really. After all that has happened in the past!!! I would run a mile before putting a depoist on this, cant wait to see how this turns out but I pretty John Mc would be running the TT on it any time soon.

  6. they won’t be worried about mcguiness, he’s done. He won’t trouble the top 6 at a TT again.

Personaly i like the look ,the face looks very determined and rest of the bike looks stunning ,the 1000RR ,RSV, are bloody ugly in comparison ,good luck to them and i look forward to seeing one in the flesh .

  12. This version of Norton looks like the best funded and has the backing of a proper volume manufacturer with proven warranty and support infrastructure.

Clearly much brand repair is called for, but the factory looks good and the CEO seems to get it.

I wouldn't buy a new Brough, CCM or RE, but a Norton racer could have my interest in this new era.

  13. It reminds me more of my 95 T595, which looked ok in the 90’s…………….

  14. Apart from the RE bit (the 650 models are great), fully agree.

  15. They’ve committed to building the super light, I think that will be good. If they get it right it might be on the super twins grids

  16. I know a few guys that have bought Nortons and been caught up in all of this shite, they all love the bikes despite the issues, they are undeniably special, (the bikes not the customers!) Garner was a very persuasive crook who had some good people working for him as well as some "less savoury" types. They could have made it if it hadn't been for his shenanigans and ineptitude at running the company, hopefully with a proper company backing them up with manufacturing processes and quality control they can be a serious consideration again.

Regarding the styling, while I agree with the Blowfish comparisons, which once pointed out can't be unseen, I still think it is significantly prettier and better proportioned than any of the competition and sadly that includes the Panigale V4 which has too much of an Audi influence for me, like all of the range from the last few years! (I will no doubt get hate for this statement!)

We had the Brough Superior dealership for a year and the build quality was fantastic, it even rode beautifully but they simply priced it out of existence before they had proven themselves, yes people will part with big money for exclusivity but they still want to feel like they are buying "something" rather than just an idea or concept with a badge on it!

  17. For me the Norton really works in the flesh, something to do with it's overall width versus the frame width, it's just really nicely proportioned. The Supersport especially was a bike I wanted to just stand and stare at all day. At the time I asked them if they would do the frame without all the stupid polishing and they said they were considering it.

  18. I really like the look of the old and new V4 Nortons and cannot wait for this brand to be properly revived.
