the bayliss era 999 race bike was very unique to the point that there were less than 8 bikes in existence. At the end of the 999 era, most of these or at least 4 then went to the airwaves team for the BSB.. So they are so few between that ducati must be able to give numbers for them.

No, I've never heard of Tony selling a bike! It's supposed to have been bought straight off the grid at the last round of the season and brought back.
I'm led to believe that he bought into out of town industrial style retail shop units when it all first started and then rents them out to the likes of Currys, PC world, Next etc....and then bought more and more.....
