Bianchi was so fortunate. The tractor had a car dangling as a pendulum on the front, so it was already light at the back end and riding high. His nose cone coupled with momentum bounced the back of the tractor as a result. It took the roll hoop clean off and tore the cockpit shoulder off. For him to still have his head on his shoulders is a miracle in itself.
How refreshing (as S. Perry said) to watch the short interview with Daniel Ricciardo just now - you only have to contrast this with (what seems to be) the average interview with Lewis Hamilton or even Sebastian Vettel to understand why (race itself aside) the 'older' viewers just don't have time for F1 these days. Thoughts are with the family of Jules Bianchi.
Does Putin really speak English? I don't know that I've ever heard him do so. Of course, in Russia, even if he did, he'd think it a bit beneath him to speak in a foreign tongue - almost like admitting that the US is top dog.
What's with the special arrangements for Russia? (National anthem, Russian PR man interview on the podium, Putin in with the perplexed drivers after the race, etc.) Disgraceful but of Russian influence over the poor little old FIA. I hope Bernie's plan, now that he's roped them in, is to crush them financially and enforce his strict regime by next year. Lookout Putin, you've met your match (evil laughter for effect). Yep after the first lap, that was DULL. How come all the new circuits are flat?
ha ha I doubt it,, America with its puppet nato has been trying to crush Russia for the last 70 years,, doubt Bernie would be interested,,,,,,,,
At least Putin thought there was PR in it and showed up. Can't imagine Obama showing up for the US round, or Cameron coming to Silverstone.
