  1. As I recall, they did enough of that at the Austin MotoGP.
So God knows what they are going to do for the F1.

    [tremble tremble]

  2. Mmmmm, just how small would Bernie Ecclestones mini me be?

  3. Dull race yesterday. The only interesting bit was the first 5 laps, but good result for Lewis. Track looks like a blast. Love to have a good at the sweeping 180 degrees left hander :)

  4. Why could they nearly get a complete race out of 1 set of tyres?

  5. Because the tyre manufacturer (which is... er...) didn't have any experience of the circuit and so provided tyres that could last the race, as the track proved to be very tyre-friendly. So that means (as became obvious) that the whole "tyre management" thing is completely orchestrated to throw in googlies. What actually happens is that the whole field spend all its time managing tyres (when they're not managing fuel) instead of racing.
Apparently you get a better race when you might not actually be able to use all your car's performance.

It has to be said that the race was a snoozefest, but it seems completely unproven, on the basis of one race, that having tyres that fall to bits every few laps really makes for a great and fair race. I prefer it when they are going balls out, rather than creeping around (I speak figuratively) managing tyre wear.

I'm not at all sure about these street circuits. Too many walls about to be safe and in the case of Monaco particularly, completely impossible to overtake safely - which rather defeats the whole object of racing. They aren't very scenic either.
Monaco is a great event, but as a race it's fairly pointless. Don't much like Canada either and the Sochi track didn't do much for me.

  9. Much as it pains me to admit it - I reckon Golden Bollox is going to win the title this year...

  16. Unfortunately he's also a whining, whinging, petulant spoilt brat - a product of Ron Dennis...
He has his good days as a driver - but he behaves like a dick.

  17. So its finally come down to the last race. Stupid double points aside . Yas Marina isn't the greatest circuit, but it should be an interesting race. Hope Hamilton can lift the title again

  18. I'd make it quadruple points and take away all his tyres and probably put sugar in his fuel......anything to stop that fuckwit Hamilton winning
