Oh Dear, That's Not Good.

  1. thing is. it wasn't the cover that made your clutch fall out. that wasn't intended to be flippant in any way,
     
  2. Oh I understand that. It's just few people seem to have expected cover to have kept it contained which I wouldn't have really expected/considered. just made me rethink exactly what I'm asking of a cover and therefore what things to consider when buying new one.

  3. I think it just wanted to escape all that grime.
     
  4. It gained a lot more dust chewing through cover and fairing, but I had actually thought at least it's an opportunity to get it cleaned properly.

  5. @Mr.R is spot on I reckon - I've never seen a clutch pack so badly worn.

  6. I fully admit it was knackered and grime covered a fair few miles back and then some, just sure it wasn't quite as bad as it is now. Did the heavily worn plates cause/add to the nut coming undone? Quite possibly so I'll add that to my experience list and hopefully more than just I can learn from it.
