Well been busy ish , carbs are now off and have been for a swim in my ultrasonic tank , look very good now , they were remarkacly clean on the inside which is good news. Here are some pics of the tatty state it was in , not much difference to my other MK1 #110 when purchased so no worries with this one so far !
Sorry to hijack the thread Sim, what do you reckon to the price of this one. DUCATI 900ss Superlight Mk 2, Limited edition, Classic Sports | eBay
I think it looks reasonable value at that price compared to what others have made however it is an import so that tends to put people off ? I don't know why because all Ducatis are Imports LOL
Good job I have the only set of keys to the garage!! If I do can I pop over for some advice/inspiration? Back in the day Baines were (allegedly) taking a van to Borgo Panigale putting 4 dukes in it and brining them back to sell as parallel imports, so having a KM odo is not a problem IMHO
Yep it is , she usually says you Didn't tell me you were buying another bike , I say don't worry I've sold one to pay for it
I know that look, I usually counter it by counting the pairs of shoes, boots and other footwear carefully stashed under the bed, in the loft and any other hiding place. LOL
Well got into the garage and #171 is down to its component parts , engine is sitting on one of Steve Baileys (BBB Fabrications) engine stands so battle and cleanup will commence Got to finish this one as my Christmas present a 91 851 is arriving on the 30th thanks to Steve Klee imola
I would like to spend some money on sorting the garage, trouble is its rather large and full up with other crap etc so I have to make the most of a small space, I do however store everything in labelled boxes and restore / renovate items ready for the build, the carpet looks bad and will be replaced, it dint help that I kicked an oil tray all over it.
