On The Hunt For A New Bike...

  1. its not a full system though.....and thats the thing...ive just bought a 64 plate bike for 200 quid less! Theres are no second hand pipes around....ive never seen any ever. I would have to spend 9 k on an "s" and then throw another 2-3k at it to get it looking and going how i want it...after getting the race headers for the hyper....that was the "i should havebought these ages ago" type moment.....

The zed....1500 tops, full system n'all and i may be able to squeeze dyno work in there as well....

  2. Due to a dvla / dealer cock up it's still not registered so I'll get back to you on that one !

Ive spent (retail) 5k on the 848 and as its catD I don't think it's ever going to be worth selling it

  3. Hi
Last march I was in the same position as you, Couldn't make my mind up what to get, then saw the new Z thou. Bought it on a whim, added a few extras, and painted the wheels. Fantastic looking bike and great noise from the Ackra's. But 6 months later and only 1200 miles sold it. Didn't like the short gears and high revs. Ended up with the Pani. The bike I really wanted.

  4. That looks really nice....well ive got my rsv4....im nit getting rid of that and the rsv4 is for long trips, days out etc etc. The zed will be for work...10 miles each way of dual carriageways and a little bit of inner city traffic....that about it...

Just out of curiosity....you may be able to help here....are the front caliper bolts the same spacing as brembo's. The reason i ask is that i have a roadlok from the hyper which im hoping will fit the zed....

  5. Hi. Cant answer the caliper question .
I see you have a RSV4 . In a few months[ I hope ] Im looking into buying another bike, mainly for trackdays . Its maybe another Pani, or a RSV4. I want a new one, but cant understand Aprilia's thinking on not bringing in the new 2015 standard model. I will have approx. 15K to spend, which was the price of these. The only one you can now buy, and in limited numbers is the top model at 18K. So Aprilia have lost a sale. I aint paying any more !!! The other option is buying a 2014 Factory. but I wanted the 195 BHP beasty.
Not been on an Aprilia yet, need to test ride one. Maybe its too small, but the 2015 bike is now out the question.

  6. That's OK....I'm guessing/hoping they're same as they cost 300 a pop and I don't want to buy abother...

Yeah. That's right. I have an old are aprc factory. If I had to sell it I'd buy another newer one. Its been brilliant. Counting the days til the TT....

  7. I may know of an exceptionally trick RSV4 trackbike.... Ohlins DDS, TTx, Traction control, etc etc. It's making 175bhp at the wheel. If interested throw me a PM and i'll pass your info over.
