Better than getting to the circuit, getting all assembled, fairing on, Dzus taped over; leathers and lid on, all hyped up; two minutes from being called to the collection area and the driver decides he wants to change the carb needles............
I thought It was the 5th of November too. I have scheduled a so called meeting so I can go and bloody watch
Ahhh but this is a try out to be a factory supported rider, so packign early makes sense. Obviously once signed TT will arrive by chopper just in time for autograph signing and the first practice session.
What times did you get at the circuit today(which circuit). Had another look at the pictures. You forgot your loading ramp.
................and forgot to remove the side stand PS is that a tyre warmer box or a toaster box in the bottom right? If its the latter, the wheels won't fit in the slots, but you might be able to park your pushbike in them......
As above, I was 'flat out' around Gerrards on my race bike when John Reynolds passed me on the outside on his works ZXR750 so fast and close that it actually made me jump!
That's the one Nick - that "jump" is kind of a one off isn't it - only get it in that sort of situation Still better than the time Alan 'bud' Jackson nurfed me off the track. I though who's that git wearing a set of leathers you could get him and his brother in they were so baggy? I chased after him (I was on a 138bhp 1000cc twin, he was on a 30bhp Suzuki classic a T200 I think) caught him at the hairpin at which point he gave me a cheery wave, ducked under three other riders and fooked off! Them old gits in baggy leathers, you gotta watch out for them
slicks, high lean angels..... i just pray you don't go off. Because when you do, it's going to be major.... it' like all those horny Porsche and Ferrari drivers ... the car has tremendous road holding abilities. it sticks and sticks and sticks to the road .. until it no longer does! When it let's go, it wil be at speeds that the dud at the wheel has to be an ace driver to recover... they rarely are... Race stuff makes you go harder on the edge, but narrows the field of operation immensely... racers go faster because: 1. they have different benchmarks in their minds 2. weight 3. sprockets all the best
I'm liking your style Mr Tibbs. Take my advice though. There are a lot cheaper bikes out there to drop than a 999s... I love to track mine but have had a low side and it isn't cheap to fix even with doing the work myself. And I'm talking a super slow off that I had! Ive just bought a zx6r instead and intend to test the size of my balls next year by jumping into the fast group and and maybe a race or 2... Keep the Duke as a road bike or sell it to fund your dream before you wreck it.
'Ello......'Ercule Poirot 'ere.........Mon Dieu! It was the 17th yesterday and 470four went to LuigiMoto and found it was shut...... Terry_Tibb is in Taunton and LuigiMoto are Bristol aren't they? Well, close enough.....'ave my little grey cells been working overtime? 'ees that a strange little bucket of fish, 'Astings?
