Only Gone And Binned My 749 :( **gore Warning**

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by hugh jaynus, Aug 31, 2014.

  1. That'll heal up all right. You'll have a wicked scar but a fully functional limb... Once you've stretched the new skin out a bit!

A lucky escape there, all things considered. :)

  4. Faaaarrrkk from now on I'm calling you Pepperoni :Doctor:

  5. What ever you do, don't pour any peroxide on it. Or iodine. They may sting a smidgen.

  6. Jeez - grim. Hope you and bike get better soon. That makes me cringe more than my various injuries after hitting a car head on!

  7. Ouch! Hope you heal up well. Some good riding before that!

  8. Get well soon! And good luck with the rebuild!

  9. Again Cheers for the kind words. abit strange to be in the seat ,you never think it will happen to you. Looks like im not invisible after all :(

  11. The OP couldn't have done it better if he had rested a planer on his knee and squeezed the trigger.

    feeling a lot better now.

  15. Id like to say i was doing something really manly or something that involved loads of action but no....an unraveled metal flu liner that sliced straight through my wrist cutting through everything - the surgeons call it a "full house" - the centre bit of the "S" is my handywork - the rest of it it the surgeons which they had to do to stitch it all back together. I think i can categorically say that there is no greater pain than an open nerve....

The doc said "now, im going to open the dressing to see what the damage is..and oh, here's some wood to bite on...." my wife had to leave the ward, and could hear me screaming outside just before i passed out....oh yeah - and it does spray everywhere like in the films!

Havent looked at that photo for a few years....the sight of anything sharp makes me a little wheezy now...

Sorry Hugh - hijacked the thread....i hope yours get better - i can definately relate to anything that happens in the wrist area..! Any pics of the bike?
