My wife look at the pic of the knee and said that it wasn't bad, not bad at all. She's a nurse. Get well soon and keep the flies off !
Did this snowboarding one morning in April 2012 and cluelessly decided to carry on for the rest of the day without seeking medical attention. Fast forward a couple of months till the resultant blood clot finds its way to my brain causing a stoke very nearly killing me and worse, a massive hospital bill for the bosses in Zurich. Oops!
All this gore will aid you if you ever do become a first responder at an incident. Don't want a weak stomach to lead to an inability to think under pressure! Get used to it now, be useful when the time comes.
Sorry to see this and the damage to your knee........octor: Hope it heels soon. Are you sure the front locked and not the rear as it looks like either the rear locked or no slipper clutch from the footage.
Hey Hugh..... Have you looked at the brake since.... Ie had a look yourself to see if you can see what happened? Or are you allowed to move yet? I might be out of turn but at least you got through the summer mostly.... Ie now the shitty weather is drawing in then it can be sorted over the winter.... I've not had to order anything from ducati for my hyper yet but it can't be worse than aprilia....
Haha i did try but it just ended up sanding my knee down instead of pushing the bike up. Marc makes everything look so easy!! Thats some serious cuts and injuries up there!! Im a floor layer and used to cutting my hands but nothing quite as bad as that!! Im still pretty rubbish getting around due to having to keeping the leg straight but ill try and get a pic of the master cylinder. Ps any body selling a 998r ? My bro inlaw is on the hunt
That's a nice couple of pics. Yep, nice pics. Yep, still looking. Yep, there is a dribble of puke being pushed out.
So you're walking around looking like you've nicked a snooker cue? GWS mate.... When did you do that? I did Donington on the 28th.
14th. Yeah i can get about the house on some crutches . Went with the missus to take the boy to his first day at school yesterday, manage to crutch in and back to the car but that was me finished for few hours. I hate this, you can feel everyone staring at you!
Just read this thread, hope you recover soon. i was wondering what kind of race fairings you have on your 749. It was an very hard crash and the fairing looks pretty well dispite the crash...
I won it from an auction ebay £100 brand new and unused. Im not sure where it originally came from. It was a decent fit though and black weaved fibreglass on the inside. Think thats called grp. I reckon a good £600 from a shop.it faired well i think the wind deflector mist have taken the brunt and then disappeared. Need a new one now for sure !!
So that ladies and gentlemen is how long it takes to heal up and move around like normal again. Fought of MRSA twice, completely failed skin graft , lots of hobbling about and a few painfull moments when the dog or kids bang into it! Hats of to the lister Stevenage though they have looked after me very well. Now to fix the 749 up for my return to donington!
