I see nothing has changed re Aprilia parts and warranty then? They make great bikes but seem oblivious to the fact their back up and the way they treat their customers puts buyers off and they ultimately go and spend their money elsewhere.
I've never owned an Aprilia before and didn't believe the reputation Aprilia had. More fool me. It's like all things really, some have no issues with Aprilia and I've just been unlucky.
Well mine held up perfectly yesterday... (loomies af1 rsv4 meet)...180 miles round trip of being caned over a and b roads...and I've got the oldest one!
Just seen this on the KTM forum. RC8 Superbike that's been fighterised. I like that. Bars look a bit high for me but from what I can see it looks nicer than the 12990 SDR. Like the headlight pod and he's kept the RC8's groovy tail piece. Nice job. I'd like to see that bike in the flesh. Looks a bit of all right.
They actually had one that got as far as final sign off, the main design heads decided that the geometry with an rc8r frame just didn't work and they canned it
Its not even a re work.... Theyve just bolted stuff on..... Blew it.... You could effectively build something better yourself....
" The engine management system dedicates a lambda probe to each header, providing precise fuelingwhile an electronically controlled mid-section valve optimises exhaust pressure throughout the rev-range." They should have a chat with chris at cjs.... They might actually learn what precise fueling is...
Ducati is just as hamstrung by Euro 4 as every other manufacturer are. I like it especially in black. Lose the pillion pegs, add a couple of bits of carbon fibre tinsel and a Termignoni then I see my next bike. If a new Panigale-based Streetfighter comes along subsequently then I'll be happier still.
Not for me - too pedestrian in its look....by definition the word streetfighter is angry, in your face...this, is not...ive not seen a price but im guessing way up in the 15k plus mark....id rather keep my zed, which is angry and in your face....but then that's what it is...again the round light contradicts everything that's behind it.
160 horses but still not that exciting. Kind of like giving Kate Middleton a boob job. I don't dislike the monster but I don't think it was ever meant to be what it's being marketed as. With the styling it's always come across as a bit more laid back, unlike the streetfighter, which is a bit of a nutter. I'm not sure it competes with something like the Tuono, S1000R, Z1000 etc
There appears to be a level of confidence on the forum that there's going to be a new Streetfighter revealed soon as well. I'm for all of these. I loved my 1098SF. Perhaps not the best bike I've owned but the bike I've loved owning the most by a long chalk.
Well, - theres my zed....what I would perceive as a streetfighter - along with the 1098....Tuono not so much but only from a styling point of view....
Great looking Z. Looks much better with the black bits instead of silver. I just sold mine (I had the grey/green one) to get the 1098 SFS, only because I've always wanted a Ducati and the Z1000 was a bit too compact for me.
Ah - ironically I was looking for a 1098 at the time but couldn't find one - they (to me) seemed to much for the money...ie in the uk for a 5 year old sf I would have have to had paid the same as my 5 month old zed.!! - I miss my old hypermotard to the plan is to get another one but an evo sp this time (and keep the zed!)
