Be who ever gives them the biggest back hander or spends most on advertising with mag will be number one . All take turns being super duper must have bike of the year
Rutter's lap times don't lie. Whilst i wouldn't disagree with you on some bike mags, i don't think PB follows that trend.
Unless you are intending to do track days on it, I've no doubt the 899 is a better road bike. I had an 1199 and they simply don't work very well under 80mph. You need to toggle down into sport or wet if doing much in the town otherwise they surge and hunt and are a pain in the arse. I've not ridden the BMW, but have had an 848 and 2 RSV4 Factories - both were more enjoyable to ride on the road. To be honest all this stuff about which is fastest doesn't matter - most track day riders can ride a 750 better than a thou apart from on the straights. Truth is, if you like the look of a Panagale and want to own a Ducati - it's nice to say you own an 1199. Apart from that, most other bikes are better road bikes. I've said before, my preference for sporty road riding is a naked - the Hypermotard and Tuono V4 being as fast as you'll ever need and much more comfy.
o.p. have you got one yet put simply, once you are used to the power of the 1199, you wouldnt want an 899.
