An old thread but does anyone know for sure whether OZ Changed the shade of gold on the wheels? Looking at the Gas’s wheels and some shots of Piegas and they are a much more Matt Gold, rather than the highly glossy look of the examples above. Am thinking about a set for my bike to use as road wheels so my standard wheels can be for trackdays (I know seems the wrong way around but I still do mostly road riding)
They do a gold and also a slightly yellow tinged titanium finish which isnt as garish and is quite polished.
I am sure the newer oz Piegas are matt gold, my mate had a set on his 959 and they were matt and not glossy like the ones in this thread.
Yeah don’t think they do that super electric gold colour anymore... it’s a little to bling if you ask me but this works
They do change considerably depending on the light conditions. When the sun does eventually come out to play!
I definitely prefer the slightly more Matt gold. The pics above are all Gass wheels which are nice but they are £500 more than the Piega so wondering if bang for buck they are worth the extra?
