Try oiking (tech term) the spacer down more - it may move further - you need a square edge on the bar or tube to get purchase on a small lip - good luck
Has anyone had to change the bearings on a standard swingarm? Want to get the spacers out of mine. cheers
Hook out the dust seal of the bearing. Destroy the cage holding the balls. That allows you to remove the balls and the inner race. Now you can push on the spacer to get out the bearing opposite.
I took the bearings out of mine with… a bearing puller. When I used the right tool it was easy. Putting fresh ones in, I left the wheels in the sun and put the bearings in the freezer. Worked a treat. Personally I’d stick with the same colour if I were you but you’ve probably knackered your bearings now anyway. Bearing puller, £32.95 on eBay. Verses a set of very nice Oz wheels at what..1800 Quid?
A large and long flat end screwdriver that has been ground to provide a kind of L shaped end is my wheel bearing tool. Ive used it on gs750's all the way up to my 916. Its also done friends bikes wheels.
Things like this work as you hammer straight down but the end kicks out. Get one with a hammer end/cap though. https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/crow...Vy-7tCh2N_w_CEAQYBiABEgILdfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
On my rear wheel(double sided swingarm) The is of the internal spacer is larger than the spacers that sit in the bearing leaving a small lip to tap out, is used a spare swing arm spindle and rubber hammer and gave both sides a couple of taps. Disc side spacer pops out, however sprocket side spacer looks to be a two part affair either side of a third bearing that sits in the sprocket carrier. I could not drive that bearing out(will drop it to a mate with a press.( I tried destroying the bearing but it’s design makes it hard.
