Carbon exhaust heat sheild fitted 2night been putting it off for a while thinking it would be a bast... turns out it was rather easy to do
I had started this before I bought the part to be sure, right side was a doddle (screws off), but the left (when looking from the rear tyre) seems to be blocked by the suspension cylinder, along with screw holes so close to the panel you can't get a tool in, while still on the bike. Asked a dealer and the part seller, who both said entire exhaust system needs removal. As in you'd do it if you were putting an Akra in. How did you do it? Ta in advance
So your struggling to get the lower bolt out that holds the sub frame am i right just so i no where on the right track the exhaust dosnt have to come off at all and all you need is ratchet long extention and the right socket what i think was a T45 really easy to do
Did you find the 899 too have a lot more torque? I test rode a k9 Gixxer 6 and was hugely let down by the power low down, another reason making me head towards the 899.
Well, after lots of upgrades and a re-build, I finally pimped the trackday queen with the paint job I've always wanted....
Nothing too exciting but got some lovely handlebar mirrors from good old eBay quality is excellent great value for money just doing some mods to the bar ends fo fit the mirrors and indicators I have brought when I'm done will post some pictures and you lot can tell me what you think
