ibgarrow, I had a quick look but i looks as thought the 1199R tailpiece is different, this was my 1199 tailpiece,
Yes, I know this. But I can’t class it a 1299R yet it’s not an 1199R. Bits from the 1199 series fit it, not the 1299, but I can’t find a coherent classification for part compatibility.
Yup. Different to the Gen 2 back end. Mine has a teeny “cover” in the middle of the tail. Any sticky-out lugs would be very close together, making for an unstable base for the Kriega, possibly rubbing on the adjacent plastics. ‘‘Twas just a hope. I might use the Kriega as a backpack if I have to.
All bodywork is 1299 based. The 1299 has slightly wider fairings than the 1199 and a different tail section. Try here:- https://www.bike-parts-ducati.com/ducati-motorcycle/Superbike/2016/Panigale_R/301
But the diagram for the “2016 Panigale R” is what I recognise. Thanks. So 1299 bodywork, different engine…
Correct. But don’t overthink it. Yours is a Gen 2. It’s 2016 model year but introduced and sold in 2015. My Gen 2 was registered in 2015 as an example.
Oh. And my 748r 02 was registered in 2001. But I think the 02 in that case refers to Mark 2. The 749r had a mark one and mark 2 monograms. Confusing isn’t it.
You can also use these on other bikes - I use a set on my Multi: https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/kreiga.79994/page-2#post-1690392 Pictures in post.
If these haven’t already been snapped up by a Pantigirdle rider I’ll take them please for my KaaaToooM if I may.
