I am on a similar mission, and went with Dp fairing kit and managed to find one already painted on Ebay luckily. One thing I might have to look at is springs, as a bit of high speed testing last week showed the bike to be a little unstable at speed, and I'm 100kg 'dry' ...
Haha 100kg dry is brilliant! I am using that one myself! I am ok with the shock - can you send me link to you found on eBay? Curious!
It was Ebay Kleinanzeigen in Germany and was a used set, with fresh paint. Managed to get front and rear fairings with all the light blanks and fittings for 600 euros
OK so I contacted my Ducati dealer and asked for a price for Brembo Z04 pads and was told (and I quote) The only brake pads we can get for your bike are the Ducati original fitment Brembo pads which are £70.98 per side. Anyone throw any light on this?
I was out on the autobahn on Saturday and at high speed you could feel it becoming unstable ( from 260kph upwards) so might be something I'll have a look at next month
That actually sounds cheap even without VAT as they are generally about £115-125? If you want the best stopping power and feel then I would go for that. Bear in mind though that you can get almost comparable for around £35-40 a side. As mentioned I've been using Bendix MCR carbons at ~£40 a side from PDQ for a while as price to performance they are really good value. I'm just switching to MRR which are comparable to the Brembo Z04 mainly because I go through the MCR in a couple of days on the 1199R and the MRR / Z04 are supposed to last for two or three times as long. On an 899 they will likely last longer.
