I feel sorry for people like me. With nigh on 600hp sports cars. They don’t do many to the gallon y’know….
I've got to go out shortly, so the V8 rumble and my smug grin will suffice, but will be watching the fuel gauge intently
Reportedly no diesel to be had in my corner of north Hampshire/West Berks today. That is despite the local Shell having a delivery 3 days ago. Andy
I had some sort of super Aston (matte green with yellow detailing) up my ar5e on a NSL country road yesterday but managed to keep him at bay in my bog standard albeit GT3 bodykitted 911. The girlf was well impressed, so I didn’t have the heart to tell her that he was probably just scared of running out of petrol if he’d floored the loud pedal and left me for dust
Seems to be lack of the draw. I just popped out in my lunch break from work. Both nearby Tesco’s and Sainsbury’s have queues stretching round the roundabout, but the BP just behind them-straight in straight out although there is a £30 limit. At least I can get back to work tomorrow!
I brimmed mine the other day. No worries The feeling that I was annoying all of the blue hair lesbians and Facebook Karen’s was majestic. Real throbber material tapping off the tip as she clicked at 118 quid of super unleaded. Followed by a visit to the red line in the first three gears leaving the fuel station. What a feeling.
Just tried to get some fuel as I needed to go to the office tomorrow, but all empty! Can't even get the train. 150 quid return and 3 hours each way.... no thanks! Anyway, some interesting quotes in this article - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-58707455
Pretty confident in saying that this is a manufactured situation tbh. Disclaimer: As most likely are.
I had to go to my office down in the West Mids this morning, thats a couple hundred mile round trip. I saw little evidence of queueing unto I got back up to South Yorks, where there are lots of sheep. I filled up on the motorway. I passed several filling stations there and back and only one at M1 J23A was stating they were out of diesel. I would not have bothered at all, but I have to go to Suffolk early morning next week and that's a 400 odd mile round trip. Once all the mooses have filled their cars up that never use 'em, it'll all settle down again. A tank of fuel is likely 6 months usage for some of 'em
Weather didn't bother us it was just the risk of running dry and concentrating on the fuel gauge instead of enjoying the ride.. Day one was supposed to be over 200 miles so couldn't even be sure of getting to the first hotel. One of the group traveling from Dorset couldn't even get enough fuel to get to the start point in Hampshire. We were still hoping to make it happen at 8am with a 9am start scheduled but it was just too risky.
