Petrol Queues.

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by yellowducmaniac, Sep 25, 2021.

  1. I had to syphon it from my classic car. It's original E5. Very expensive

  2. What, you worry?

  3. It’s a funny coincidence that electric car sales are lower than the govt were expecting, and now all of a sudden there’s a fuel crisis. Hmmm…….

  7. Just seen something flash up on my iPad, “should essential workers get priority at the fuel station” I never read it because it’ll be manufactured crap by the media. How would you sort that out then?

Why don’t the public just behave themselves? There’s wasn’t and issue last week even tho there were the same amount of tanker drivers then as there are now.
I had to fill my van up this morning, usually there would be 1 or 2 vans in the morning, station was full and a £30 limit. The woman at the counter knows I use this filling station a lot and knows I travel a lot and said I could have more fuel if I needed it.

    The public are just wankers

  12. No they aren’t. The majority are not the sort of people who turn up at the pumps with 10 jerry cans, but are simply ordinary people reacting perfectly rationally to the very real prospect that they may be left without the means to get to work/attend a hospital appointment/do the shopping/visit their mum in a care home/take the kids to school or whatever, or that they’ll run low on fuel and be left stranded at the side of the road because the pumps are dry.

If you want to point fingers then do so at the people, including yourself, who voted for this shambles and the spectacularly inept and dishonest bunch of shysters you chose to negotiate and implement the outcome, rather that trying to deflect blame onto the media or the general public.

  14. Oh it's my fault! You may want to get off that high horse before you fall off. I’ll be voting Tory again Zhed, just to piss you off.

  15. You've already said you would vote Brexit and Tory again, though doing so out of spite would be only marginally more ill-thought than when you did it in 2016 and 2019.

And yes, is is your fault. I know that modern days tories aren’t too keen on the idea of personal responsibility, but in this instance you lot spent 4 years claiming that you knew what you were voting for…..

  16. This isn't a primary cause. A contributor, can't deny, but not the primary cause. The industry has been struggling for years and the whole haulage industry has said this. Add covid causing testing delays, poor opportunity for young blood, DVLA strikes, and yes, a little Brexit there should be no surprise there are issues, but it wasn't a 'crisis' till the media made it one causing an unnecessary panic.

  17. Whatever Zhed, do you need a nap?

  18. No, but you need to stop blaming others for the consequences of your poor choices, man up and own up to the fact that you were well and truly conned. :upyeah:

  19. I wasn’t conned, I wanted out of the EU and everything that goes with, id vote again as I’ve said before. You don’t like it that your problem.
