If you're referring to my Iggy, he's a chap, and still being in possession of his balls, very much so. Which one is Norma? I've heard that it's not uncommon for "pedigree" working cockers to have something else in the mix because in the past when such things were less strictly policed, breeders would try to correct/enhance bloodlines by crossing with other breeds. I suspect Iggy has a bit of whippet in his lineage as he is small and lean, extremely fleet of foot and certain facial expressions make him look a lot like Santa's Little Helper, the Simpsons' family dog (who is supposed to be a greyhound).
I'm definitely blessed mate (and norma is the ginger one). I also thing the "red " coloured cockers are always slightly smaller/skinnier. You never see a chunky one do you?
She’s absolutely stunning (they both are). Is she spayed or are you going to have a litter or two? That’s true, and they have much shorter, silkier coats than other cockers. Although Iggy is small and wiry, he’s packed with muscle and surprisingly heavy. At his last health check in June, the vet had to check the scales were calibrated properly as she couldn’t believe he was so petite yet weighed in at over 15kg.
That’s a shame. I’m glad I kept Iggy intact as not only didn’t I want to possibly change his personality or turn him into a muted version of himself, I’m seriously thinking about studding him in a couple of years so I can keep one of his puppies. Tbh, I’d clone him if I could, like Barbara Streisand did with her dogs, though I imagine that has the potential to be a bit unsettling if they turn out to have a different personality.

It’s rare to find a breeder who’ll let you keep a pup (unless you know them and have an agreement in place of course).
The (tentative) plan is/was to mate him with my friend’s gorgeous sprocker bitch, but we kind of lost contact during lockdown and I’m not sure if she’s changed her mind and had her spayed. By coincidence she messaged me yesterday so watch this space….
My Scooby is limping, done all the usual checks for fkn grass seeds, phone the vet and cant get him an appointment until thursday evening because they dont have enough vets. This country is on its arse and most of us deserve everything coming our way (or 17million idiots do anyway).
