I'm not a dog lover at all, so perhaps have a less "fluffy whittle bwabies" view of them, but I find most dogs aggressive to a degree, there is NOTHING more uncomfortable about a dog jumping up at someone, wagging tail or not, it feels aggressive.
I think dogs sense when they are not liked and react accordingly. Some people don't like dogs, and that is OK. I prefer cats, I find them much easier to live with, but I can also appreciate a good dog.
Just because you are scared of dogs does not mean that they are actually all aggressive. We would have given up trying to domesticate them thousands of years ago if that were the case! That is your mind trying to justify an irrational fear...
Each to their own...I have massive issues with cats. I don't dislike them , I just think they are house pets or wild animals. But maybe we've done this one already.
My Maine Coone is very ill at the moment. He's 9 and won't live much longer Got 5 cats in total plus three parrots.
arrrgghhhh evillll!!!!!!! cant you see its plotting your demise?..its plain to see... Only kidding, I love cats and dogs, and if he were mine, I could play with those ears for ages. Wishing the cat well
If something is running towards me barking, it's aggressive. Mutt should be on a lead in public anyway.
I am very much wary of dogs following a very unpleasant attack on me when I was about 6 years old.I only hate the owners of out of control dogs who should never have them in the first place . Well trained and looked after dogs,if I know the owners, are not a problem.
If you don't like them much and are in fact not a little frightened of them, it is going to feel aggressive - I can get that. If you really like them, it doesn't feel aggressive - it feels enjoyable (unless they are ruining your suit). Dogs can also tell if you like them or not, or if you feel quite indifferent towards them. I find that they interact with you if they know you like it, hassle you if they think you don't like them, or sort of ignore you if they think that it's a pretty mutual feeling. I used to bring my dog to the office now and again. The receptionist (quite a tough biddy) was terrified of her. This always seemed a little odd to me. How can you be terrified of a basset hound - quite an old basset hound - which made no noise and moved at about 1 mile an hour (on a good day)? They don't look terrifying. But there you go - she had an issue. We often develop issues and see dangers where there are none. I don't like spiders although not many spiders in Europe are likely to do me any harm. But do I think that dogs should be permanently on leads or muzzled because a minority of the population have an irrational fear of them? No.
the wife's dog deffo don't like me much. while the wife and kids where away, sat on our bed for 24hrs refuses to go out for a walk or piss until she gets back last night
