  1. Too hot for bikes or walks in this heat. My two will have to wait until tonight. Doesn’t look too much of a hardship today….

  5. Glad he’s on the mend. And that you kept your bike.

  6. Typically hes woken up this morning with a weeping wound on one side so we're off to the vets shortly to get striped up on a bandage and some antibiotics i would imagine.
    Slowly, slowly and all that...

  7. From what I've read of your experience, they've got a licence to print money.

    Hope Kenny heals quickly.

  9. 'Consultation' - harrumph.

And the most obvious course of action, which I'm sure you knew was coming.

    Robbing b'stards.

  10. £64 for literally two minutes – i can understand if it was for half an hour but two fucking minutes.
She'll have someone else in straight after me too covering the other 28 minutes ive just paid for.
Oh no hang on, they’ll be paying for the time I’ve just paid her for too.
    Rats.

  11. Sorry to hear about the wound issue but the positive bit is the main thing - really good news about weight on the leg already, very promising by sounds of it

  12. Drinking how he likes to the most

  13. It's obviously a spaniel thing, because Iggy does the same. Every time I sit in a chair or lie down on the bed, he basically pins me down with his paws on my shoulders and presses his nose up against mine, staring into my eyes and huffing contentedly like a miniature steam engine, until he flops onto my neck and falls asleep.

Snap. He does this every time I try to clean my teeth, shave my head or wash my face.

  15. I can beat that. When Iggy ate a grape a few years ago, Vet 4 Fucking Pets charged me a £52 consultation fee for the privilege of me having to tell the surly and utterly uninterested vet what I had been told by someone (who sounded as if they were only aged about 12) manning the National Animal Toxins Helpline, who themselves had only told me what I had already found out for myself by googling and for which they also charged me, IIRC, £35. The chiseling scoundrels.....

  16. Picked this little chap up today, not sure of the breed, but he's very happy and laughing all the time...:D

  17. You may have just committed a hyena hate crime by misgendering him/her/them as the females have a pseudo-penis and dummy testicles.

They are absolutely fascinating animals. They're also not part of the dog family and are actually most closely related to mongooses.
