Rats. They never used to bother me until I spent the summer between leaving school and starting my apprenticeship helping out at a company that did work on grain silos and the bastards I worked with sent down into the bottom of a silo to remove some covers, turned out the lights and threw in half a dozen monster sized rats that they'd caught earlier in the day. There was enough light coming in from the top for me to see them and I couldn't get out because the sides sloped steeply and the afore mentioned bastards had pulled the ladder up. No doubt the rats were just as afraid of me but a 16 year old wearing shorts & trainers isn't going to go hand to claw with something wanting to bite him
Not so much a phobia as some weird OCD thing. I can't do a dump if my socks are round my ankles, they have to be pulled up as far as they can go. OGR
Now that's fucking weird! I have to put my right sock on first, my right boot/shoe on first and my right glove on first when I'm off out on the bike but that's just habit and not OCD and if I keep repeating that I'll convince myself I'm right
Im with you on the dancing one. Im far more comfortable sat screaming into the ear of the person next to me at weddings, rather than setting up shop on the dance floor. Thankfully I don't really have Phobias, but there are things I don't like. Somewhat strangely, when I'm riding my bike or as a passenger in a car, I really don't like people turning right across my path in front of me, but this is due to my crash in 2011. When I'm driving, I know I'm safe and in control
I'm with Mel on the spiders, but living in the country, I often have to deal with them, so it is a lot less intense than it was. Glass or jamjar and the postcard slipped underneath, carry them out and fling as far as possible. But I have never visited the Amazon, for example - although I'd love to go - because of all the creepy crawlies there which I think would wig me out. Ditto Madegascar. I don't like insects and I really don't like big ones. Bees are fine, wasps don't frighten me, but large buzzing, flying or creeping things do.
It could also be he's worried about putting his foot in it..................although I haven't seen much evidence of that on this forum......
