  2. I meant the new SR1 and have changed my post accordingly.

  3. Flip front for me also. I like the look of the Schuberth C3 but it doesn't fit my head whereas the Shoei Multitec does. I feel a Neotec coming on.

  4. yep,

got the S3 flip and love the possibilty top open up ... can ridt it like taht till 100 kph, dpeending on the wind direction :)
got a shark carbon for the 999 but am contemplating an Schu SR1 as the shark lifts like mad... .

  5. I expect the dealer to have every size in stock....that's his job!

As for throwing away....why? Patrons can wear a washable balaclava to protect the helmet, and at the end of the year a massive helmet sale would move any stock that may look a bit worn! I mean we all try helmets on and off before buying anyway!

No I'm afraid your argument doesn't hold water  But one thing is for sure, if shops want to stop the move from bricks to clicks then they are going to have to come up with novel ways to entice people into their stores and offer that extra little service, otherwise we'll all just do the www. Click thing!

  6. Being able to actually try the lid on the road would have saved my recent debacle with a Shoei Hornet.

It was all fine in the shop, but for whatever reason when out on the road the vibration was so severe it was making me puke after half an hour. Adjusted everything on the bike, tried an unfaired bike, took the peak off, no joy. Lid spent 10 weeks back at Shoei (long story) and was certified nothing wrong apart from visor seating, but it was no better on its return.

Went back to a TourX. Ended up shifting it for a reasonable price to a nice man in London, but still lost out.

  7. Congrats on getting the bike Casp - my last bike was a ZX10R as well.

I bought the S2 and it's a cracking helmet; lightweight, comfortable with good features as standard (Pinlock & internal sun visor). Definitely the quietest helmet I've owned as well although it doesn't cure the Mutley's wind noise!

    Health to own and enjoy.

  8. Ended up buying the S2 in black with the white stripe. Felt good on and had to go a size up to what I'd normally wear, Schuberth Large are 58-59. Nice detailing along with the internal sun visor which will be handy on the commute to work this time of year. Expensive but as it will last a few years it's worth paying, didn't,t find it much quieter than my old agv.

Doing the rounds with the screen and have fitted an MRA touring using the Aztec spacers and found it best for me at about 3/4 raised, all the way down was really noisy. Was going to try it without the spacers but rain stopped play. Will refit the standard one as well to see how it is with the new lid before using the MRA brackets to fit a shorty which came with the box of bits when I got the bike. Hopefully one of these will give me something suitable for the blast down to the South of France in a couple of weeks.

Did the back roads to Hideout in Essex and the bike was great. Leaving it in third and just reading the road trying to be smooth before giving it a big handful on the way out of the corner, a bit of squirming from the rear (the bikes) but no Dtc as yet. Have left it in Sport which works for me.

All in all enjoying the bike
