YEP SHOUTY LOOKS BRILLIANT, it was a real toss up between the 2 and now looking at those photos I thinking, perhaps I could make a change!!! not lacquering so if I fancy a new bike, just change the decals ,much cheaper than buying a new bike!!!!
I have the Pikes Peak screen too and at 6'3" actually find it causes less buffeting than the standard screen. Not sure how it would keep the rain off though..!
The only worry there is that red does fade a little in ultraviolet light after a long time, the shaded area may remain the full red original colour and differ from the red paint that's left to the elements if the wrap is removed. But having said that, will you ever remove the wrap? The only time you'll remove it is if it gets scratched or torn. I've just done a paint repair on my Pikes Peak and the white pearl cost me £20 to have mixed and matched but the repair looks excellent and there's enough paint in the aerosol to paint all the panels and lacquer them. I've also painted and lacquered my hand guards, they look ace! I will put a photo on soon lol.
I have a Pikes Peak, but I love this paint scheme, all my previous bikes have been Race Replicas so really appeals to me.
I bought a base DVT 65 plate 0 miles for £11999 touring kit. My last bike was a 14 plate Pikes Peak. The suspension on the base model is incredible!! So, after seeing this post I bought the Vultura kit and today had it fitted, also got me a full termi cancelled order and my tech ordered me Pikes Peak screen I think it looks awesome will try post up pic, cost me £120 to have decals fitted it took about 2.45 hours
