I couldn't agree more And that's why im keeping my £19K + in my pocket and my Mechatronic Ohlins, QD Exhaust, CJS remapped, sparkly carbon bits mint 2010 Multi I really don't see how Ducati got to this price point and spec for the 2016 Pikes Peak, its a major disappointment, they need a major re-think here!!
OK...you just topped it with the Quad D....mine had the Leo Vince. My brake bleed modifications, M4 monoblocs and the Ohlins steering damper. Personal favourite is my saddleman seat....I never got chance to fit the quick shifter.
Its a Translogic one See here Translogic Systems - World leader of electronic transmission shifting technology Its a universal fit one that I fitted myself. It took a bit of fine tuning to dial in, but been faultless since day one, and is great fun, as well as been much more comfortable with the mrs on the back, less suspension dive and helmet clashing when shifting. Only works on upshifts though, no down shifting blips It looks like they have different sensors available on the site now, but not sure if there is a model specific to the Mulistrada, best to give them a call
Was disappointed when I saw new Pikes peak does not have Sky Hook or active suspension I will keep my September 2015 ST and continue adding carbon parts and a quick shifter maybe someone will make a decal kit to replicate the paint job. Not paying 20k for same bike with less technology just for ohlins my bike has more carbon than PP at the moment and a full real Termi and I love it Regards Neil Ps can't get images to show Dropbox - Photo 25-10-2015, 15 36 42.jpg
If they'd offered the Öhlins Mechatronic, full Termi and forged wheels for £1500 over the S, I'd have gone for it (and I suspect they'd still have made a higher margin on their bill of materials for those changes), albeit that they'd have had to ship the Termi in a box for 'track use only', in time-honoured fashion. As it is, what we're seeing is Audi extracting the urine. Just for comparison: KTM Superduke 1290 GT: £15999 including WP semi-active suspension, QS, all the electronic aids and a slightly useful 173bhp.
Black powder coat on belly pan and rear hangers over winter carbon belt cover and carbon lateral intake covers with antenna cover that will do nicely No PP for me i would have swapped but not worth it
It should at least come with the full termi, as a race kit, i brought one of the first gen tuono's that came with a full race kit, it was a great incentive to buy the race model .
...and I'll trump you with OZ Racing Magnesium rims on top of the aforementioned tasty bits. I won't mention the BrakeTech rotors, oh no, I'll leave that till later.
