  1. My old set were.

If you read the tech data, they seem robust.

  2. Ran them on my PP and now on the RS with no problem :upyeah:

  3. I had carbon wheels on my previous bike, smashed both front and back in separate incidents. I've never had a problem previously. Read into that what you will, but I'd not go out of my way to have them again. Also, my tyre fitter always had problems getting the tyre to seat properly with them.

  4. Looking to 'blackout' my bars and top yoke as the silver offends my eyes on a Pikes Peak. The black V4S GT bars are longer I think so wouldn't work ? Also would the top yoke from a V4S GT fit the PP as its Skyhook v Ohlins ??

  5. I had mine powder coated.

  6. Now that looks far better :upyeah::upyeah::upyeah: I just have to find a decent powder coaters now , who did you use and what did they charge ??? If you don't want to say just drop me a PM :p

  7. I used a local (York) firm for the coating. Any half decent coater should be able to do a good job. I got a load of bits done at the same time, so the £200 included bars, yoke, risers, side and centre stand (yes, yes @Multirider75!) and the bellypan.

One thing to bear in mind, everything is easy to dismantle but the dampers inside the risers are less straightforward. The easiest thing to do would be to spray them, but me being a pedantic twat wanted everything to match.

If you do decide to do the risers, drop me a PM and can spare other members having to read it!

  9. Really, I wonder why they would do that, is it because of the RS?

  10. I’m not saying it’s better than standard, but I do like it.

I’d have left off the wheel decals and the strip on the pipe, but other than that, very nice.

  11. That looks like a bloody tarts handbag. Why have they left the red/ pink/ purple strip on the front.

  12. Hmm, it seems that’s not such an uncommon colour scheme chosen by customers from the Unica department.

This one came past me, with a mate on a regular MultiStrada, at the approach to the Frejus tunnel through the alps from France to Italy. I noticed it was on Jersey plates. Couldn’t get a photo due to driving but then saw it again at WDW24.

It’s certainly very unique. Not really to my liking. I couldn’t help thinking the owner is going to take a massive hit at resale time. Especially this owner as I assume the Ducati market in Jersey is minuscule.

  13. I saw an 'italian' blue one too , now that did look nice. Dont like the wheel decals at all, and as you said the can and other yellow decals. I was looking at copying the RS wheel detail, if I remember right the outside of one of the wheel spokes done red ? In saying that I do have carbon wheels so not too sure it work.

  14. Spoke to the dealer and was told the new Pikes Peak is released next Tuesday for pre orders , no literature as of yet
