Yeah my dealer advised keeping it, then fitting when selling the bike, but tbh I’d probably sell the bike with the full system when the time comes, as it’s a faff to remove again.
Interesting opinions. My dealer reckons flog it for circa 750. The only thing they will pay extra for at part ex time is exhaust and prob 1k for system. So theoretically getting good % back. And given full system now all tied to bike VIN number etc and not easy remove and stick on something else unless a dealer does it.....found that with SFV4S

I was wondering about the download and if removable etc. I suppose if you can sell the end can for good money and get more in p/ex then worth considering, but from experience dealers won’t offer that when you come to sell. Agree, it’s all a bit of a faff... I picked up a standard, new V4 end can off eBay for £58:00, why would someone sell for £58:00...
Exactly. I can’t see the point in having £750 sat on the shelf for two or three years, only to then pay a dealer to remove the full system, bugger around with the VIN, pay eBay fees etc on a system that might just be worth £1k used.
They're not stupid and obviously done the maths (which is why we end up paying for the bloody lot) but probably sell more full systems if they reduced cost at the outset if we didn't want end can
Fellas, so I finally sold my KTM SDR and now slowly looking to get Pikes Peak I've looked at few photos and the first thing that almost cut my eyes is the exhaust. Previous Pikes Peak gen had a very sexy Termi. Does Ducati offer any alternative exhaust options ?
You will do very well to get £750 for the Akra end can. It’s no different to the standard can in terms of looks and performance.

There is no performance or even noise benefit as far as I am aware it’s just got the Akrapovic name on it and carbon end piece. There is a video somewhere of someone taking one apart.
