  1. Pipe is on back order, everything else fitted.

Just finished the Evotech tail tidy, not keen to do that again!

  2. It looks good. That’s not a job I’d relish tbh.

  3. As we know, Evotech stuff is really well made. My only criticism is the instructions. Plus the fixings always seem to differ from the description and certainly where the tail tidy is concerned, there’s a couple of extras.

    Which is a little disconcerting!

YouTube could really work for them, but I have to take my hat off to them, that piece can’t have been easy to design.

  4. My dealer told me if I fitted an aftermarket tail tidy then my radar would not work (V4s). I assume that's bullshit. I agree that Evotech and its customers would benefit from You Tube instructions. I have looked at their instructions for radiator guards and sat nav mounts, and still haven't decided to buy. Radguard in Australia make a great You Tube instruction for their guard, although £100 more expensive than Evotech

  5. Yes that is bullshit! I don't know about the Evotech tail tidy but I have an R&G one fitted to my V4S and the radar works just as it should. The only issue I had with the R&G unit was that the wires provided were too long (for a change) and tucking the excess into the rear section would have been difficult, not a lot of room, cutting them back solved the problem.

  6. Your dealer is wrong.

  7. A quick report.

150 mile today, then rain stopped play. What can I say? This is the best bike I’ve ever owned. Period.

Can’t say I’ve ever felt this in tune with a previous bike. The handling is soooo predictable and I felt confident to go to the edge(ish!) of the tyre in a matter of minutes. Engine, brakes, tech, everything is top drawer. I had a couple of dodgy moments with the quickshifter, but that could be down to adjusting the lever properly.

So I’m really happy, in fact delighted. Apart from this…….a fault light showed up, looks like it’s ABS related. So back to Ducati it goes on Monday.

    I’ll keep smiling.

  10. LandRovers don't make you smile quite like a Ducati....

  11. Yep, agreed. This is without doubt the best bike I’ve ever owned, and I’ve had over 30 bikes. You’re right about being in tune with it too; it’s perfection on two wheels.

Wait until you’ve got the full system though, as you’ll be even more impressed once that’s on!

  12. How does the volume compare to the 1260 full system?

I heard one at the dealer and it didn’t sound over loud. It was hard to judge, so I may be mistaken.

  13. I’d say it’s on a par tbh.

  14. I had the full system on my 1260 PP
And got the full system on my V4 PP
The V4 definitely is not as loud as the 1260 (baffles out) it doesn’t pop and bang as much

However the v4 still sounds nice with the full system, just not quite so aggressive as the 1260

  15. Still bike is not showing as dispatched from Italy!! Am losing the will here

  16. How do you check this? The MyDucati app just shows I have an order for one, no details

  17. Checked with my dealer

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  18. Jumped off the bandwagon today and requested my deposit back.

Best current bike to own in my opinion, but will revisit another time.

  19. I can understand you. The wait has been excruciating
