V4 Pikes Peak

  1. Yes, but sintered or fast road/race pads on the PP so I'm lead to believe.

I thought my 1260 pikes peak was a fantastic bike and would be hard to beat
But I got to say my V4 pikes peak is even better still, so easy to ride quick with bags of technology on board compared to the 1260

I agree a V4s is a great bike to, but coming from a 1260 pike peak I think you will always have the doubt you should have got the V4 pikes peak

My vote is go for the pikes peak and don’t look back

  3. The pads are from the Panigale (which then gives the PP the same setup overall as the Panigale). Other than that, it's the same.

  4. Yep, I thought my 1260 with the full system was unbeatable as an all-round bike, but my PP with the same set up is just next level.

As much as I loved the 1260, I never bonded with it 100%. With this one though, it's absolutely perfect, and I feel like I've been riding it for years. I'm getting giddy at the thought of our upcoming Italy trip, which is now less than 3 weeks away.

  5. This is it isn't it. Although waiting on the PP and I'm on the V4S I still find myself looking for excuses to get out on this bike, more so than any previous bike, love it

  6. That's how I felt when I got my 1260, my first Ducati, after having only owned sports bikes and the more extreme sport tourers (Busa/ZZR etc). I couldn't believe how much fun I could have, without the back and wrist ache! I just wanted to ride all day long.

  7. Yep , the V4s performs all day long , every day and is fantastic . Ducati have made a bike that pulled me off the Gs , and the Gs was brilliant , the V4 is next level .

  8. Guess which model this promotion doesn’t include …

  10. :broken_heart::mad::bomb:

Literally days away from collecting a PP, this would have been really handy

  11. I must admit, on my order summary, the £450 dealer fitting cost did make me think WTF, as I'd already had my pants pulled down on the cost of accessories.

Matters not now as I've cocked.

My regular "where's my deposit" call will go in next week, for the third one running.

  14. Still waiting for the full system……

  15. Looks great. Apart from the centrestand! :p

  16. Agree, took mine off 1st week I got it

  17. I don’t get the hate for the centre stand!

I’ve had them on all 3 PPs.

  19. Unless you tour alone, it’s really not necessary

  20. I have to say, and it’s not just the drink talking, but as I sit here in the garage, this bike is perfection.

I’ve had a lot of bikes (over 30), but none of them have hit the spot. Some of them were a Jack of all trades and a master of none (including over 10 GS/ GSA’s).

But the V4 Pikes Peak has ticked every box, for me. Performance. Handling. Touring ability. Ability to take any luggage you want to put on it. Embarrass sport bike riders. Looks. Ergonomics. Need me to go on?

I can’t think of anything they could have done better. Ducati have achieved perfection this time.
