  1. I'm used to picking my stopping points - ride all the time with a mate who's chuffing 6' 3" - just stops anywhere - twat

  2. As someone said, lower, heated seat. IMHO, more comfy than stock too. But if you can't get it on time, at the very least make sure the stock seat is in the lower position.

How will you handle the run-in service? Sounds like you'll blow way past the mileage whilst on the trip - and the rev limit is very limiting on a fun tour.

  3. I'm picking up a used one - done 1k miles so hopefully it'll be run in - hope it has been

  4. is that the one in colchester i can see on autotrader? if so looks stonking price given has full akra and just 1k miles. nice one and welcome, done 5k+ miles on mine and gets better and better

  5. That's the one - just trying to organise a van to pick it up - oh and trying to get my deposit back from a private buyer as had a deal done for a 1260PP o_O - But I've always wanted a V4PP so couldn't let it pass me bye & it's a cracking price :)

  6. With that height putting the seat in a low position, you will arrive safely with both feet, and I am telling you that I am 5.2 feet tall and I drive the v4S (with low seat and lowered shock height)

  7. Anyone using Evotech levers on their PP? How do you get on with them?
I find the minimum span on the oem levers is still a bit long for my dinky mits and wondered in the Evotech ones will adjust closer to the bar. Loathed to pay for the DP levers.
Apart from that 13k in and loving it

  8. It very much depends on whether your height is predominantly from your legs or torso. I'm 5 8 but my height is mainly torso (only 29" inside leg), so the stock seat is definitely not 2 feet down, but I am comfy enough on it in the lower position. But the lower seat I find more comfortable as well as more confident when putting my foot down

  9. Yep, I've got the Evotech shorties on mine, they're a massive improvement over stock. I've got smallish hands, and the reach isn't an issue at all.

  11. I'll set it on the lowest setting for the seat and see how I get on- or fall off as the case maybe
Does the PP have the lowering function when your coming to a stop ala V4s

  12. Evotech levers made no difference for me. BUt i have a set of short levers for sale if you want to make an offer so you can try them.

Ultimately i had to splash out on a clutch lever from Ducabike. Silly money but it works. I just bought the clutch lever btw. Brake is fine for me.

  13. Thanks all for responses, useful info, @duke63 I'll drop you a pm later.

  14. Another option for levers is the CNC Racing levers.
I have them on mine and am very happy with them.
Admittedly, I have long hands and my levers are set at the farthest out position

For informational purposes, the Pani/SF brake lever and mount work on the PP, the clutch master cylinder is different in some manner as the clutch mount on the levers aren't interchangable

  15. Alternative to the Evo mushrooms .
Personally more slide and get home protection . I have the crash bars as well so would hope with the combo a useful addition.

  16. Looks like they bolt into the engine casing as well. Not being facetious, but are there any options that don’t?

  17. Sort of , but not a point of contact, more a spread of contact , the mushroom is concentrated, I hope these spread more impact . Like I said it’s a get home not a track day save

  18. No because the only solid thing to bolt to lower down is the engine as bikes don’t have frames like they used to. To be honest anything much more than 20mph drop and you would probably hope the bike is trashed anyway.
