This was the scene on the loading platform at Eurotunnel Calais terminal on Saturday afternoon. All was peaceful, orderly, straightforward, and prompt.
It seems there are now several excellent motorways in Poland. For example, I can report from personal experience that the road from Warsaw to the German border at Frankfurt an der Oder (300 miles), is a good modern toll motorway all the way, with plenty of service stations etc. The road from Katowice to Warsaw (180 miles) is not quite as good, but still a perfectly usable modern dual carriageway road. No one need have any special fears about riding in Poland. Most of it is however very flat.
