The one I pulled out says 12v 20a and is made by Tyco... The bit that made me laugh is... I'm so annoyed at having to continually access the fuel pump relay, and also not having the tools to remove the battery itself conjured up enough will power to actually replace the relay with the battery box etc intact! I just dropped the fairings off at an angle. I'm now very annoyed that I can't find the spare relay I bought from Ducati ages ago. I've also been thinking of weather proofing ideas and I will find a solution, I just don't have one yet and seeing as I ride all weather, all year round I really should make that a priority... Keep me posted on anything you find too, I'd be very interested
How am I going to get that past my mates? "Im just going down the garage with a pot of Vasolene"..... Im still getting a ribbing for getting caught cleaning it with cotton buds.... but its the best way of getting in those hard to reach places without spraying muck-off everywhere.... they wont listen  I used WD on mine and turned it upside down so that it was tucked away rather than dangling at the lowest point with water able to sit in the connector rather than draining out. Vasoline is good but its hard to apply over the rest of the bike. Except the muffler opening
If you are riding in everything then Lucaz's suggestion of a rubber glove finder filled with whatever is good but you should really go over the whole bike with Di electric grease. Stops all sorts but you need the right kind. Ive also read a post by Shazam that suggested it was bad as it heats up etc but dont quote me on that. Will search for grease but my chips are burning right now......
I guess as it is petroleum but im guessing very little. Its good for battery terminals etc so I dont think its going to spark up.
In short a month after I got 749 light relay failed. Two weeks after that fuel pump. Then nothing for 6 months and light again. After that I changed both at the same time and did the finger glove thing. 3 months after that I did 700 miles in torrential rain including bike parked overnight outside in said rain. No electrical issue. Lucky or glove worked.
Hahaha If you ride in all weathers and rely on the bike for transportation I would go over every electrical connector with Di Electric/ Vasolene. The glove finger trick works but it wouldnt stop corrosion on all the other connectors and lets face it, good as they are - these bikes dont like the wet.
To all the ladies reading this: Blufoot you 'should be able to get condoms in Poland that will do it for you. Medium one's might be a bit to big so look for size small
