1299 Poor Running

  1. but if your riding slow not using your clutch and the lever is not in why in my case did I have to ride it in 1st gear at 30mph when in second at low revs without not using your clutch did it surge and try and pull your arms out of there sockets. sorted now after going for my first service but still cant believe it was the clutch lever at fault. on the 899 if the lever was to close to the pin it would give out a pop misfire. this was not my issue on the 1299. strange. I now think it had a updated map in my first service only thing that makes sense I reckon.

  2. Ive experienced some of these symptoms.

It happened during long town stop/start riding. Felt as if the cylinders had been over fuelling and the spark plugs had fouled up.

Once I'd ridden through the problem it sorted itself. This happened for about 3 days or so and hasn't come back since.

I now ride over 4K rpm when in town to avoid the problem reoccurring.

I definitely think the low rpm fuelling isn't good. Ducati aren't exactly known for fuelling perfection, hence why mapping is so popular. Just gotta find a decent 1299 mapper.
