I think it depends on the chip if you can trim or not. Hopefully sorted, wondered if JHP would still have some on the shelves
apparently they make to order. Parts guy waiting for Mr JHP to come in to get him to cut/burn or whatever.
Yeah, but that ended up with contradictory information and I got a headache. I'm liking this thread much more.
John Hackett at JHP did me a custom chip for my 853 and it runs perfectly, after fitting I took the bike to Neil at Cornerspeed to fine adjust the co2 levels. Steve
I would avoid gasket goo and gum gum type of sealer, they set too hard and make removal very difficult, a smear of heat resistant silicon is all that's needed. Just my opinion. Steve

I've used this recently not had chance to test it yet but was the highest temperature flexible I could find http://www.geocel.co.uk/images/uploads/data-sheets-pdfs/trade_mate_plumba_flue_tds.pdf

Teflon exhaust tape works very well. I used this for my track Suzuki RGV250 which uses slipon pipes to an exhaust flange in a very similar way to Ducati's. Being tape it does not blow out quite so easily and won't melt.
Need to wait for Mr Postie to do his magic then test ride. If still pops/bangs i'll have the pipes off/on (need a polish anyway) and try again. If still going pop/bang it's either live with it or a trip to the tuners.
