In the interest of full disclosure, are these phone calls being made when the Mrs goes to the bog - " i don't know Mrs B , another wrong number, had a few of those this evening..." or with Mrs B in full attendance ..." go on Mr B get a faster, louder more expensive one, we can then have a fast ride together.." I'm only curious so that i can manage my expectations, as those of us in the cheap seats ( owner/rider TT600 2003, 38000 miles and 1998 Ducati 916 33000 miles), with no chance of a V4 or indeed any other new bike, ( until @mervyn finishes raggin' the arse off his HP2 sport and lets me buy it) live 'expensive toy' life vicariously, taking pleasure in the machines of others! we want to know how likely it is that this machine will arrive a la Bradders homestead!
Mrs B was at work, I was at work, 80 miles apart. I'm a dreamer...what can I say? BTW faster and louder are not things normally associated with Mrs B.
With you all the way here -follow that dream ! I had an opportunity/ thought some years back , didn’t follow through. Wish I had!
I have a couple to go and look at when they all get back to work next week. Theres one in Glos which looks about right, bit high end price for a 99 but mileage and history spot on, blue cab with hard top but...has RED interior...now I don't think it looks too bad in the pics
I'm on a Porsche Owners page on facebook and have a steady stream of Porsche in hedges pictures coming through due to icy and snowy roads I'm a fan of using stuff as intended but mine is staying nicely tucked up in the garage away from ice and salt unless we get a particularly nice sunny weekend: Whoever this guy is, he wins at life!
sadly there is always a compromise, unless you pay a premium. Interior is easily changed if you dont like it. In the 90's Porsche buyers seemed to have more money than taste, meaning too many boxes got ticked on the order forms. My personal hate is the green interior.
No idea? I just saved it whilst browsing one day. I'll happily give it a ragging but I'm too stretched on finance to risk sticking it in a hedge due to ice plus I'm allergic to getting sh*tty salt on the car. I did get the underneath protective coated just in case though..... If I could afford it I would buy another one to abuse!
Seems 90% of porkers are silver with grey or black interior. Silver is a bit 'company car' and grey interior...bit John Major for me. Although world stop me buying one

If the red is just the seats and maybe the door cards, it may be ok, not for me personally, but ok. However, if its the full red inc dash, gearbox tunnel and even steering wheel on some, don't buy it, you will not sell it on in a month of Sunday's and it looks bloody awful.
My mate has a white manual turbo in 'dog dick red' which I actually quite like but Vale hates. I would buy this colour for sure. Driving this after the new PDK 911 GTS I hired at Nurburgring was what made me decide I had to have a manual.
Full reds ok on white, better in flesh. On black I think its quite nice. Just not green. What you need to understand is some people have a different opinion to you. I know it may be hard to believe, but there it is. Not only that, sometimes your factually wrong, we all are, and the 'seat of your pants' wont get you out of that one. You just make yourself look a cnt. No offence an that.
But i like green, which makes my opinion different to you, so what you have to understand, is not all folk are like you. Hard to believe eh ??
