  1. I made 190,000km in a 911 3,2
    123,000km 911 Turbo (965)
The more modern units have been more buy and sell as I had a car store

  5. A bloke I work with has a late 2002 facelift model 3.6 996 in dark blue with 51k and full history, he's owned for 8 years. Wants 19k?? Food for thought....

  6. The 3.6 is much nicer looking and has some more torque and hp

  7. Like I say, I was looking at 99 because of the info on the motor and less likely to have ims failure.
My lad isn’t a petrolhead at all. Zero interest. Showed him the couple cars I’m looking at, 911, 911 cab and a 07 plate boxster that looks nice. He was very ‘meh’ on 911 but on boxster ‘wow. That’s much nicer than the others’:rolleyes:

  8. Btw I’m looking at keeping ti A under the price of a 1098r, so 15k ;)

  9. OK, will pass on but he won't let it go for that I don't reckon??

  10. I'd definitely consider this @bradders At 51K miles it ain't likely to go tits and at 19k it won't go much (any lower). And way better than a girly Boxter.

  12. Ooooh the smell of a pre Xmas deal is in the air..... @bradders

That Boxing Day drive into Brecon is calling you....

Can you get the wife a smart handbag as well, as that extra Xmas pressie bribe...?

  13. Tbf she doesn’t need bribing, quite the opposite (won’t wear the watch I bought!). It’s convincing she needs!

See what he says @Wayne58 ;)

  14. He's sat here now, I'm on shift with him, you interested at 18k? I know the car well, I helped a little in buying it for him 8 years ago. It had 20 odd thousand when he got it, of its 1st owner. So only a 2 owner car.

  15. See if you can pull up some prices for the same type of car say from 10 years ago then show her the prices today. If she needs even more support, show her the car she probably enjoyed as a teen and what they are worth now, she will see the increasing investment of many of the 70's 80's cars.

Failing that, apply to her woman logic, if the car is worth 20% more when you come to sell than when you bought it, imagine how many pairs of foo foo shoes she could buy

  17. Can I get some details, spec, IMS status etc, you know exactly the stuff as it’s what you have been saying :upyeah:

It’s a few k out of budget, but this is a purchase that I can tick a box with and maybe sell on for what I paid in a year when I’ve had enough, or when I love it and want more ;)
