  2. From what I understand, the early year bookings have the really fast guys as a lot of the teams use the late winter as pre season testing, whereas the end of the summer ones are more for the likes of us who just want to go for an end of summer blast.
Earlier this year, some friends did Jerez and Portimao in Feb, and said the fast group was like a who's who of european racing with BSB, French Nationals, TT riders and a variety of very fast Spanish riders mixed in (and crashing regularly)
I'm off to Cartagena in Oct, and can't wait
Looking at booking Portimao in March too, so look forward to hearing what you all think of the place

  3. Almeria in Jan was defo like that.
IIRC that's Gino Ray at the back and the Kawasaki rider was Mason Law.

  15. Last bend there is a slip road just as you enter the main straight, turn in at the far side of the slip road from out wide and hit the white painted section on the far side of the road on the exit onto the straight and you miss the bumps, get it wrong and hold on and pray!!!

I had a massive 100mph high side just before the last bend when someone forgot the needed to be left side not mid track and changed at the last minute.

If this helps, but it can be a starting reference for you. Just be a bit smoother than the red line!!!!

  20. A fantastic 3 days at Portimao courtesy of No Limits, very few red flag stoppages and a very well run event. My second visit to this great facility and it seems so much better the second time around, the 1198 was in its element, this was my first time on slicks and I chose the latest Bridgestone V02s at £250 a set, bargain and they really are a fantastic consistent tyre!! Have loads of video footage but I doubt I'll ever get round to editing or posting any of it. A couple of pics will have to do for now.
Best lap of 2.01.659, clearly getting dragged around by some very fast boys!!
