Shakedown day on my gixer at Bedford today. No rain. One red flag all day. 15 degrees. Pretty quiet. Brilliant value. Got a few niggles to sort on the bike before Donny at the end of the month. But super happy at how it went.
From Snett a week Thursday (ago), the weather was ace for mid-march, it really was!! I got on pretty well with the R1, the pads were new and new brake fluid and I definitely felt a lack of overall confidence in the brakes, but I knew this would be the case based on feedback out there. It's got a great chassis, responded well to having the Ohlins TTX from a R1M fitted to it, felt really plush while still firm at the rear.
Wow. Two cracking days done and March not even ended yet. Big up to all DF boys at Donny today. Ace weather and a great day for all. Sorry I did not get the chance to meet you all. @RC1 broke his track virginity. @cookster @bradders plus our motley crew. Roll on moped mayhem @Cream_Revenge And April 27.
Unfortunately it did not go much faster than this all day, before conking out (last pic) and sending our team home for an early bath. Big up Moped Mayhem. Roll on October. @cookster @Cream_Revenge
Damn. Long way to go just for a few laps and a bit of piss taking…you could have come to Upton for that
First time at Cadwell on the 12th April and also the first time out on this impulse buy, low mileage 2015 GSXR750 GP Edition. The weather and track were fantastic... my riding not so much. Ended the day prematurely with a high side and set of crutches The bike appears to have got away with just cosmetic damage. Not sure whether I can be bothered to put it back together, so if anyone fancys it, let me know.
Shot from Bedford on the BM. First time out on the bike, its a stock road bike at the minute, looking forward to turning it into a track tool.
