Make sure the camera had its lens cleaned! I bought some from Fresh Orange and they had marks and blobs all over the lens which ruins the pics. Good images though.... Looks like you had a good time. How was having the van?
Ace. Proper mattress so comfy, but need skylight and some power access. Was getting back on my pace by Thursday and end of session at Angelsey until I lost the rear in Peel again...but the chassis on this bike is top quality so saved me a trip to Bangor Hospital this time lol and I decided to call it a day point of note; BT16's are ok but would not use them if you run mid to front end of fast group, i'm off the front and rear and it limited how far I could lean, how much speed I cold carry and when I could get the drive on. BSBs or slicks next time
Is the rear 180 or 90 Brads , I find for my style of riding there's very real danger of me running off the edge of the tyre with 180. I'd really like a session with a race school because I think its me.
Yeah 180, its an 848. Tbh the rear is easy to run off and no real biggie, but the front a bit more worrying. If I'd have had fast track tyres, power ones or supercorsas, I'd have been close to the edge but not off it. Bit concerning when everything is decking out thru Chris Curve or Church at A'sey and you know you're on the limit...but still want to go faster
maybe a little more upper body movement off the bike would stop you having to use so much lean angle (and thus save you running off the edge of the tyre). Supercorsas or Racetec Interacts will give you more grip but will not stop you running off the edge of the tyre, i did a days one to one training with a coach called Nemomoto (an ex CSS instructor who does a lot with Ducati) and it transformed my riding. I now use less lean angle but can carry much more corner speed, admittedly i am slower than you, bottom end of fast at best, but he solved a load of my issues and made me a much smoother rider...
I've done a load of work and hang as far as my body shape allows now, and am back to big lean angles but with far more speed (because I'm hanging off a bit). Can see from pics I still seem to have my upper body a little high but it wont go much lower, nature saw to that! Lol the profile makes a huge difference, both in ease of turning and and outright grip. With SCs on, I can barely get a warmer under the mudguard, real tight fit, with these its a breeze as they are flatter...and had to drop the forks a ring to try and get it to go thru halls bends! edited to ad: even in the hairpin pic above my spine is roughly in line, and my arse is off the seat entire,y there
sorry mate, i didn't mean any offense i was just suggesting something you could try. you can clearly see you were pushing on there and the lean angle is very impressive
None taken, was totally agreeing: reading totw and self-teaching has transformed me from mid inters rider to occasional race winner
I've just done a slow speed event in a carpark around a course laid out in cones, bit like the thundersprint ,only this is called twistysprint , 30,40mph max getting knee down at such slow speeds certainly helps bike control, or shows up lack off.
A couple of pics from Monday's trip to Donington Park... My favourite track so far - can't wait to get back there!
Dom, didnt you tell me you were just rumbling about a bit? those pics could have fooled me ! Nice to have met you..
