At Silverstone Yesterday, there were loads of Ducati's there !! First track day for about 15 months and on a new bike so took me quite a while to get back into the swing of things.
Tell you what,best job I ever had.....free tyres,tyre-testing,VIP at Silverstone,Donington,etc.,even managed to blog new tyres for John's R1 and I gave that all up cos of lurve :Meh:
Bloody hell, that's taken some punishment in three sessions! We're booked in for the 3rd and 4th Aug at Cadwell if you fancy it?
check my diary, multi isn't going to be ridden now so just track time for rest of the summer I had 3 part worn rears and destroyed them, all over 10 sessions supersoft tyre + 20 deg max + 170 rwhp + no finesse whatsoever + expensive day lol
Tried 26, 25.5, 25 hot all same result. Tyre man suggested 26 cold (?!) tried that and same. Tbh it was an sc0 so not too much a surprise it cold tore, but it did go a bit worse than I expected. Next rear is a new one and will be sc2
Hmm so it's not a pressure problem? I try and run mine 27 hot. And they look spot on. But I have spent ages trying to dial out the cold tear.
Two things I think are happening: tyre compound is wrong and there is a rebound balance issue. Got worse after I firmed the front up, and suspect I may have too little sag so tyre is having to overwork
Nurbergring F1 8th June Mittel Gruppe (Inters) still blitzed most of the sportsbikes. Found out this was on after 3 days trying to get on Nordshleife to be told too much oil So a bonus trackday. Only problem was Suspension on Road settings so Exhaust,Pegs, Levers etc all decked hard. (I have pinned pelvis currently so can't move much) Rick (Pics are not up to UK snapper standards but cost as much)
