Had an awesome couple of days at Oulton Park and great to catch up with @scrawnsenior and @Nelson. Cheers for the tow @scrawnsenior
Good to see you and Mrs P again. I hadn't realised that was @scrawnsenior. Great circuit, a little scary at first after the vast open plains of Silverstone!
Yeah they are great racebikes; they soak up abuse so well. I'm quite likely going to stick with it next year as I want to get to the point where I'm sqeezing every bit of performance out of it through riding and suspension setup so I can really learn what it takes to be able to do that. The Ducati Tri-Options always sits in the back of my mind as a next step but it looks quite a shift in budget for much less track time.
Don’t do it mate. Big pockets required with little track time. Carry on endurance and then maybe bemsee or thundersport 600’s
Small world - We've shared track space number 48 @Nelson You're behind me in this shot - didn't stay there too long if I remember correctly
[QUOTE Nice one.[/QUOTE] Don’t think you were in the same garage as chatted with most. Spoke to the lad on the white 959 that was lapping pretty well with us - his first track day apparently; and had already partex’d that bike for a V4 the nutter
A couple of laps of Silverstone GP circuit on the Ducati UK trackday, chasing @DRR117 after he flies onto the scene around the outside into Brooklands at about 52s (I was just being courteous to the other riders! ). A couple of highlights...... 3m03s: me grinding off the end of my gear lever at The Loop and scaring the hell out of myself (listen, you can hear the scrape!) 3m46s: me nearly running off the outside of the kerb out of Woodcote at about 140mph! 4m50s: nearly missing the pit entrance because I was enjoying myself too much!
