1299 Previously Owned By Ducati

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by shyboy, Dec 30, 2015.

  1. You put it in Race and configure back in the bits you like, one being the normal clock display.

  2. I really should read my owners manual more, this feature is available on the 1199 too. I've just been out in the garage and my Pani is now in race mode with 'road' display, i.e a proper speedo :upyeah:

  3. Yep, although only the throttle sensitivity, I set mine to 'high' in sport mode but left the traction control turned up fairly high, and I have it in 'medium' mode in wet mode, so that it's still not the lame throttle but is a touch softer.

The modes don't change the whole dash on the 899 but u don't need to run it in race, just use the high sensitive throttle

  4. Are you talking about this btw? Long term update: 'I got away with it' | MCN
Isn't that a coincidence? I bought it today and on that same day he publishes that story?

Also, reading that, im just about to go into the garage to check that the tool kit is there as he says he never sent it back in that article! Anyone have contact email for Tim? I tried to find one but could not see it anywhere. He also does not seem to be on social media?

  5. Yeah that's the article mate. 400 miles on a rear tyre! Eek they really are monsters :) bet u are going to love it once u get your head around it!

  6. I would take a punt on

    [email protected] or [email protected]

  7. these are the exact ones I tried :).

I sent him an email about a week ago when I was still not sure if I wanted the bike just asking him some general questions but he never got back to me. I did not receive an undeliverable for either addresses so it could be they got lost in a forward all inbox.

  8. The toolbox is on the bike. yay.

Can anyone comment on how clear the coolant indicator is? I had a look at it just now while my wife held the bike level and could not see any indication on the level indicator. I will check again in daylight just to make sure.

what do you guys use as a bike stand for general maintenance on this like topping up oil and oiling/adjusting the chain on this? I have an Abba stand for my triple but I don't want to have to take the faring off on the Ducati every time im oiling the chain. Any other good solutions?

  9. You can alter that Matt in settings. I have sport set with 1 suspension and tc set up, then another in race with a different tc setting. so i flip depending on the conditions. :upyeah:

  10. id move out your way if were were approaching me at 135! congrats on purchase, looks grand.
you will get used to all your observations, and, the engines change for the first few thousand miles. enjoy.
    :upyeah:

  11. You could try tweeting Adam Child @Adamchildchad or Michael Neeves @Neevesy33 asking for Tim's contact details?

  12. You can get hold of a single sided swing arm paddock stand pretty cheaply. They're essential really.

  13. hmm... thinking of getting this. Bike-Tower: Ducati Panigale 1299 / S Just needs a small half coin section removed from the side of the fairing and it looks perfect. Will need to confirm that it will fit with the R&G bungs on though before.

  14. This is who Ducati use for their DP stands, save yourself £70 and go direct.
I just have and am awaiting delivery as I type :)
    stand - FG Gubellini

Although it says 1098, it's the same fitment for the 11/1299.
