If that’s the case it should be a 999 then

 

When I first saw a picture of the (then) new 916 I couldn't believe what I was looking at. A motorcycle had no right to look that good!! I still feel the same 25+ years on.

OK I have never owned one as, being rather short in stature, it was too high for me. I do however have a 748 and the looks are the same.

 

As it was No.1 more than any other Ducati the Noods

 

It's the mechanical details on these, which never gets old.

yes good point, but to be fair back in the day ( good old days) it wasn’t always the prettiest girl who won the Miss World title.. Sometimes it was down to ( in bike terms) the size of their air bags, or how well they carried theirselves eg handling, what her weave ( hair) looked lik, eg their carbon composite, intelligence, eg their engine management etc. When it came to colour mind I never saw any yellow models winning, a few reds deff did mind..

I think model number 916 from Italy x always charmed the judges with her Latin looks while model number 999 often won purely for she had really odd looking headlights... X

He was referring to a race bike, and the best looking Ducati Race bike ever decided by this very Forum in a poll was the 999

I would say Kon chink skis Cagiva was one of the best ever looking race bikes! Nice colour too.. x

I thought they were the same seat height? 790mm.
