1200 Protection - Bars Or Bungs?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by firecat0_0, Aug 21, 2014.

  1. And I'd add that I've had good outcomes after low-speed incidents on various bikes when I've had bungs fitted, so always use them. I also prefer that they're less visually intrusive.

  2. I prefer the look of bungs, but thankfully never had them field (or road) tested.

  3. Short legs? :Wideyed:

  4. Diesel and mud actually. I'm 6ft 2in.

If also like to add for the benefit of the person who started this thread that I've fitted a Rizoma water-pump slider as I think they're a good get-you-home investment.

  9. Hi, I went for DP bars in the end. had to take them off to sort the sat nav power pick up but happy enough with them but not intending to try them out! Cheers

  10. Yep YOUR doin me ed in HA HA HA
My excuse is I am illiterate

  11. You already bought them, but my point is that Ducati installed bars on mine (mid 14) GT so it makes sense to do what the manufacturer does.

I never liked bungs, heard too many cracked frame stories. But twice I have seen them used and work well in 0 mph parking incidents.

  12. Went for bungs (Rizoma) and the water pump as well (same as Speed Triple). Did what they're supposed to on my last bike and I prefer the look of them over bars.
