1200 Pikes Peak Put A Deposit On The 1200pp. Any History On Here?

  1. I think you're right but it would be interesting to see a picture of the bike with the bars on full lock. Assuming the lock stops are the same.

  2. DarR, is that your Pikes Peak? If it is, tell me about the handlebars. Do they foul the fairing?

  3. Doh! Just read the previous posts on here.

I’m sure you’re right about lower bars fouling the tank and probably the fairing.

    Looks good though.

  4. Hi Sam.
Unfortunately it's not mine and I can't answer your question about the bars.
I'm really jealous of that guy's Oz wheels. They are stunning in addition to light and strong.

For what it's worth, and it's not much:
I toyed with the OEM bar and also the levers to attempt to re-align them to my liking but without success.
I would have really enjoyed having a lower bar but I don't think it's feasible on the Multi for use as a street bike.
I suppose it's not an issue for racing. Carlin Dunne's bike had a similar set-up.

  5. Maybe you could lower them but roll forward and away from the tank?

  6. I believe I tried just about everything within the limits of the bar and levers. Then again I could have missed something.
There's not much wiggle room in that context for that bike.

  7. True. Even the ducati tank bag is founded at full lock.

Depending on if you need full lock, you can always restrict it a bit with the bolts on the lock stops
