Yes, those are the ones that are the 'cat' .....you know how it says in the description "Comes with cat replacement. EU homologated" ....I.e. to meet the noise tests... Those. Like little flat plates with holes in. Don't fit them. ;-)
I missed your post on here, how I don't know but I did hence no respomse from me. I appreciated the response you sent and didn't feel the need to reply as your explaination was very thorough, thanks for that. Not to worry, no harm done and a decent price to boot! Now if I can just get an answer from the Italians...
Why don't you call them? I agree, they should reply to you quickly, but you have no idea the size of the company, and who deals with the emails. There could be a simple explanation. If it were me, I'd first talk to Joe at Spareshack....Joe, are you reading? ....then, I'd give QD a call in Italy. Seriously, you can get numbers to call internationally from your mobile for "pence per minute"... Look at the link I posted. And yes, I agree you shouldn't have to but you have a concern, so to set your own mind at ease, and/or find a solution give them a call. Manuel De Liso (owner) speaks English, so you should be fine. I sincerely hope this helps, and you get the answers you need.
Look here... Mobile to Italian Landline... From 0.5p per minute Cheap calls to Italy via a mobile from 0.5p/min | International Call Checker If you call from a UK landline, it's even easier... 0.51p per minute with a 13.1p connection charge.. I chose a BT landline, but you can change to what you have... Cheap calls to Italy via a BT line from 0.51p/min | International Call Checker My advice (feel free to ignore it), just talk to Joe, and/or call QD direct...
No, nor me, but I looked up calling UK (or anywhere) "to" Italy, and it seems that is the case....you need the zero... Ah well, hopefully that will work now....
That was a waste of time. Manuel simply said "either cut the bracket or bend it until it works, it's the tolerance of the fitting of the Ducati stand that has caused the problem, we've never had that before." When asked why he didn't reply to me after admitting he'd read my e-mails, his answer was "sometimes we don't reply, sometimes we do" Appalling.
Well he is Italian....so it's no big deal. I know it is to you, but that is cultural differences for you..... Anyway, so your choices are: 1. Cut it or bend it til it works 2. Leave the centre stand off 3. Talk to Joe, and potentially return the exhaust as not fit for purpose.....
Yep, that's about it. Being Italian isn't an excuse though is it? I will make it work, photo the process as a guide for others and put people off buying their products wherever I can.
