Decided to buy a Zumo as cant risk my phone, just used the Zumo for 3 days in the peaks and it worked brilliantly even in the torrential rain we had Wednesday..
I have that Quadlock set up for my iPhone 14 on my R1250GSA attached to the handlebar. Just been down to Germany for a week and suffered no ill effects. From the phone/Quadlock that is although I do find it a bit fiddly to snap the phone in situ.
I don't think the point of the damper is to stop all vibrations, but rather soften them up, so the internal components would live.
